Studies have shown that people who read fiction tend to be better citizens, more empathetic, better adjusted and with a greater capacity for generosity. In a growing, post-literate culture, it's significant that you're here in search of a novel.

Listed below, in alphabetical order, are a list of reviews for recommended books. The ratings scale is five stars, with no book making the list with anything less than three stars. All of the reviews here will be less than five hundred words, with some of them no more than aparagraph in length. Mostly that a function of time. I read a great deal and write seven hours a day (aside from this blog), so brevity is a necessity of scheduling.
